The Mesopotamian civilization developed through many villages coming together to form a civilization. Mesopotamia is the earliest known civilization which was in what is now Southern Iraq. Mesopotamia was located in the eastern part of an area called the fertile crescent between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers. One area in southern Mesopotamia is called Sumer and inside of Sumer many cities were formed. Most Sumerian cities were apart from each other for geographical reasons. Most of the people in Sumer believed in many gods or Polytheism. To please their gods they built giant temples called ziggurats. This is what some of the many things about Mesopotamia.
Problem/Solution
The problem in Mesopotamia was that there were too many different civilizations that developed. Therefore there was fighting within Mesopotamia that could have eventually led to it's downfall. The solution to this problem would be to develop the civilizations farther apart. Or to even develop them far away from anyone that want to capture your empire.
